REHEARSALS
Our rehearsals usually start on the first Monday evening of the school term in September and go through to the final concert in July of the following year. Our rehearsals normally follow the school terms.
The last couple of rehearsals of each term are usually held in the concert venue to enable the choir to get used to the different acoustics and for the Musical Director to make any last minute changes to the dynamics of the music.
The choir sings from music scores, in both rehearsals and concerts, and either hires scores or relies on our ever expanding music library managed by our joint librarians, Jill White and Rosemary Williams. Depending on the piece of music involved, there is sometimes an opportunity for members of the choir to buy their own scores.
Vocal scores in our music library are available for hire by other organisations. Please contact us for more information.
