Pontorson 2010

Following the success of our concert in Pontorson in May 2009, we were delighted to be asked to perform again in l’église de Notre Dame.

Early in the morning of Saturday 23rd October twenty-nine members of Highworth Choral Society and various spouses, partners and relatives joined members of Highworth Twinning Association for the 4-day visit to Pontorson.

On arrival in Pontorson we were greeted by our hosts who offered us the best possible hospitality; taking us to various locations at the allotted times and plying us with ample food and drink.

Our concert on Sunday evening, which included a wide variety of music, from Handel to Rogers and Hammerstein, was warmly received by the audience and the whole choir revelled in the experience of singing in a venue with such amazing acoustics.

The members of Highworth Choral Society would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making the visit such a successful and enjoyable experience.
